The Canadian Adventure
Canada 150

Our nation has been 150 years in the making and each generation continues to shape and contribute to its future.

Come celebrate the Canadian landscape and its people, their stories and music, and food and drink that unite the continent--wide community.

This summer in Prince Edward County, beginning on Canada Day 2017, we are hosting a documentary photography exhibition by more than 20 photographers and four Saturday night shows filled with the sights and sounds of Canada, music and food.

There will also be regular photography workshops and outings to get the feel of the land and meet County characters with stories to tell.

Storytelling is what this is all about, so many facets to the Canadian story. Tales of adventure by our local photographers who have traversed the country together over the past 5 years, tales in songs written by our own County musicians as well as classic Canadian favourites. Sunday worship will also follow the theme of Canadian stories.

Photography and multimedia exhibition at art gallery

A panoramic view of the "Photography Adventures" photography exhibition held at the Belleville Public Library art gallery during the winter. It combined over 30 framed prints by 18 photographers and several hundred images and slide shows rotating on 4 big screen TV monitors. The show at St. Andrew's Picton will be similar with a Canada 150th theme and a documentary style, that is, not just pretty pictures but a visual narrative. Also shown below is the busy cultural life happening at the corner of King and Bowery Streets--music, multimedia, food and fun under the direction of Rev. Lynne Donovan.
